Step 1 - Domain Architecture
In this step, you will enter the names of the objects you plan to have your model recognize, and create labels for them.
Required Steps
Go to the Domain Architecture>Taxonomy view and create the labels that you want the SDK to recognize.
There are 2 special labels, that are created by default: "background" and "unknown". The label "background" is for things that your AI Module shouldn't recognize. It is automatically used as label for image data that you upload to any background datasets. The label "unknown" is assigned by the system in some cases, if, for example, you delete a label while data is being processed. Since they are special labels, you cannot modify them, e.g. editing their name.
Optional Steps
Create Synonyms of your labels. Using synonyms allows you search for labels by using their synonyms.
Add descriptions to your labels. Descriptions will help you to remember the exact (visual) definition of your label which is especially helpful if you have several team members and or a large number of labels.
Uncheck the Collectable checkbox if you currently do not want to collect data for a label. You cannot change the collectable status of the labels "background" and "unknown", given those are special cases, that the system always needs to assign in certain cases.
Tips:
The more precisely you define your labels, the easier it will be to collect the appropriate data.
It helps to have clear visual characteristics that distinguish your labels from each other.
If a human (domain expert) might have difficulties to separate between labels, the AI might as well.
